I bought a 950 GO LIVE a couple of weeks ago and it has 9.35 version map on it. TomTom Home tells me that there is a new map available (presumably 9.40) but it is not offering it to me for free.
Don't you get any free updates anymore?

Have you tried TOOLS ..... USE LATEST MAP GUARANTEE? (Not Get Maps or Update)

With the device connected to your PC and TT Home running click on tools and the use latest map guarantee should be displayed as an option, it will not otherwise be offered automatically.
Don't forget a full windows backup first. |

 Are there any 9.35 maps
Maybe just a slip of the finger
I thought they were 835 with the latest versions being 840  |

| Worth mentioning that Latest Map Guarantee is I think for 30 days, so 'a few weeks' old could be longer than this. |

The Latest Map Guarantee has always been buggy. I bought a One XL for my parents and had to phone up TomTom several times to get Home to register that we were entitled to a new map under LMG.
At first they said I had to send proof of purchase within the 30 days, which I did, then they said it should work now from within Home... it didnt, then I phoned back and they said the same, eventually they did fix it on the 4th call I think.
Its particularly frustrating when you log into Home and it offers you a newer map for £50 when you know you're entitled to the LMG! |
