Comparing similar POI files

Hi,

I don't know if I am asking the impossible but can anyone tell me if there is any way of comparing 2 or more sets of POIs covering the same item, say the Shell petrol stations, and then being able to delete the duplicated ones so that a single POI file will contain 1 list of all non duplicated POIs from both original files.

Call me lazy but some of the POIs files contain in excess of 1000 entries and I don't fancy doing it by manually comparing lists.
