TOMTOM LIVE...OUT of box

do the new TomTom devices with the LIVE services work out of the box or do you need to register an email address before you can use HD traffic ?

They should work straight out of the box with whatever trial period you are offered. Initially some would only work without an email and some with. Once the trial is used up you have to have an email address to subscribe and make sure it is an email address that is not used on a previous device.

Out of interest why do you not want to use an email address?

im not fussed about it either way....

I am after a TomTom 740 LIVE however a few of my local argos stores dont have it in stock and i am away this weekend...

So just wanted to know if i can pick it up on route to coast.....and then not worry about the LIVE services not working.....
