Hi,

I'm planning to set my mum up with some traffic info on her old TT One (first edition model) and thinking about the best way to do this.

I could set up her TT with the TT Traffic subscription for a year and get her on a sim only deal with O2 so she can use wireless data for free. Am I right to think that the old TT One doesn't allow an RDS-TMC aerial to be connected? If so, that rules out the TMC option.

One question I do have is whether the old TT one constantly looks for better route, like the X30 and X40 devices do? And does it use the traffic information to automatically re-route you if you set it do do so?

Ideally, I would prefer not to have to spend £100+ on a new TT One (v4).

Thanks,

J-P

You can change the frequency that the TT One checks for updates within the traffic preferences menu, I think the default was 15 minutes, I reset this to every ten minutes, then it can auto re route you if you set it to do so.

There was another thread some time ago on the forum that was it Asda or Tesco PAYG deals were a good option to use the traffic option, I am sure you could find the thread using the search option.
