Hi. I am going to Spain again in August and have just planned my route, using Tyre. Fine, no problem. The thing is I have missed out one of my stops on route. Embarassed I have loaded it on to TT before realizing my mistake. Is there anyway I can edit the route to include the other stopover? Also why does Jan reccomend using the shortest route because this really does mess up my route? It might be ok for motorbikes, which is what it was intended for but with an 8mtr. caravan on the back, No Good!!! Thank you.
Regards David

You can load the current itinerary into tyre using the menu option

Tomtom, Active Route, Open active route from tomtom

then open it in google maps using show route. The option to add a new waypoint is at the bottom towards the left.

Either save your new route as an itinerary or use the menu option

Tomtom, Active Route, Copy to tomtom as active route

If you have previously saved it as an itn file then you can just open it in tyre and then save any changes

Does this help?

Hi Rick-uk.I have been experimenting with Tyre all afternoon. when I tried the active route option all I got was " This is not a valid TT file" I did manage to get the route back to tyre and add the missing stop over. I used a gps coordinate. It showed up when I browsed the text but completely missed it when it planned the route. In the end I started all over again. I obviously did something wrong because the original route contained two gps coordinates and they showed up. I will keep experimenting Laughing

Thanks for the link David. That information is available from the tyre website, so I am able to do the basics, it is just when I encounter a problem that I am lost Laughing

How many waypoints on your route?

Tomtom used to have a limit on the number - 20?

Not sure if that still applies, but if it does and you have too many, you may confuse the system when transferring across.

I didn't know that TT had limits on waypoints. I believe tyre has a 38 waypoint limit, so I assumed, as it is designed for TT that they would be the same. I could be wrong Laughing

The Go models can handle 48 waypoints/itinerary.

and tyre will prompt you to split the file into acceptable sizes (or remove waypoints) if you exceed the limit
