Changing the car symbol

Hi all - I am unable to change the car symbol on my TT one, edition 3. It says it is changing it but the symbol remains the same - the default blue arrow, has anyone else had this issue and do you know why this may be please? Thanks. Dibs. Confused

You can only see the new car icon in 3D view of the map, not 2D.
