After reporting error 9000 on XP a few weeks ago by phone and having no success I contacted them again and it was suggested that the free virus checker AVG could be causing the problem. I have 3 computers and the 2 with AVG gave the error 9000 but the one with free Avira virus checker worked with the latest Home.
So from one of the computers I have removed AVG and installed the latest Home then Avira.
All is now working satisfactory.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, that's well worth knowing, hope it helps some of the people with "Home" issues....

For info, AVG Free v8 and Home v2.5 co-existing fine on two PCs with XP here though! Rolling Eyes

Now the latest TomTom Home used with my 920T cannot be used.
It says that it is not available for this unit.
What a pity - Was very useful.

Try resetting the TomTom with a paperclip then connect it to the computer again, it should work fine with your hardware - Mike

Or do you mean that just the "Operate my Go" section of Home can't be used?
If so, it just means Home needs to download a file for it to work - it has to do this every time you update the software.
however, as far as I know they are up to date with the releases of that file. Can you check the version of TomTom software and the version of Home you are using and report back?
