Sorry, when I said "buy a new one" in my last post, I was meaning "buy a new map".

You certainly don't need to throw the whole thing away.
We can advise on how to replace the program (as you've done) and I was about to move onto adding some voices when the missing map problem appeared.
Everything else we can find ofr you as free downloads, but the map is locked to your own device, that's why you need to buy that.
Make sure you register the device with anew email address/TomTom account so the map gets assigned to the 910 and not your 530.

I have sent a PM to this chap with some details on how to get the device to me this weekend, I will then be able to see whats missing and hopefully resolve whatever is wrong with the device. I guess its upto rascall now as without actually seeing the device its too difficult to diagnose what might be wrong here. As long as the map folder is intact the device should be recoverable - Mike
