Lane Guidance/Lane Images not working

I have recently had 2 TTGO 720's (the first developed a fault after a few days and was sent back). But in the 36 hours I did have use of it, Lane Images and Advanced lane Guidance worked fine - and I kinda liked them as they prevented me missing my turnoff on one occasion!

But on the replacement device, even though I have the navcore v8.x and maps v8.x, the 'Show Lane Guidance' option in Status Bar Preferences is greyed out (although it remains ticked anyway), and the 'Hide Lane Images' option in Preferences produces an error: The Map or Map Version you are using is not comaptible ... blah, blah.

Is this because I have the map on the SD card rather than the device itself? And if so is there a way around the problem?

Are you certain that the map you have selected is a v8 map? What does the status page say?

D'oh! That seems to have sorted it. Sorry, was under the impression that I only had one map loaded - guess the one on the SD card is THE one, and there is some sort of residual one on the device itself.
