Remember to consider how far up the sides the charging and car cradles you use will go. I used two strips with the split between them where the power button is.

Hi MrT

Thanks for your reply.
I had thought about the cradle and would stop the Velcro short to allow for this.

From what you say you have actually taken the velcro round the two top corners with a gap for the Power button thus only using two strips not the three that I was contemplating.

Yes. The top corners were tricky on the 940 as they are sharp. so I had to cut a small triangle or nick out of each side at the corner to avoid folds. Also my power button is a large trianglular shape with an LED in it which I did not want to cover.

I think due to the small radius of curvature at the sides of the 940, the velcro may lift after moderate use and I will have to use some very sticky stuff that I have from B&Q. It would have stuck a lot better to the shape of my 530.

I have a IP-43T visor in my GO720: GPS Visor. Found it from eBay last summer.

I left the velcro overnight to cure but this morning it was lifting away from the back edge due to the tight curvature. Not enough to stop the visor from sticking but it will probably peel off further with use. I will prbalby try some of the stronger velcro I have, but I think that may be stiffer and not go over the edge.

I quite like the look of the IP43T visor but have not seen any in the UK yet.

Well I finally bit the bullet last night and fitted the GlareStomper to my Go720.

The velcro was quite easy to stick onto the device and appears to be well stuck down this morning.

I attached the GlareStomper to the via the Velcro and am very impressed by the result.

The GlareStomper can remain permanently attached or taken off according to prevailing conditions

Thanks to all for the comments prior to my fitting the GlareStomper

Is it actually deep enough to be of any use? Looks very shallow?

Depends on the angle of the sun or reflections!
The top of the screen is 1" and the side pieces are !/2".
Best feature is it's ease of taking off and putting on.
Rigid material is similar to the TT case.
As they say - any little, helps -

If you mean IP-43T, it is light, it is not very deep, but it is very easy to use and it works when positioned right. It doesn't help when the sun comes from the back, but in many cases it helps when the light comes from the side. We have used it many times without any big disadventages, it is better than nothing. If you don't like it, you doesn't lose much. Cool
