My 910 has finally given up the ghost Sad so looking for a replacement:

I am trying to find a replacement PND which has the following but not getting very far:-
widescreen - bigger the better
remote control - ideally in box but would get seperately if needed.
traffic
I do like the look of the spec's of the Spirit 500 but unless they're comming at the begining of June going to be abit late for me as I may need a decent satnav by end May depending on work etc... been a long time since I picked up a GPS unit so out of touch on the newer units on the market.

TomTom x20, x30 or x40 ranges?
(where "x" stands for 5=UK maps 7=Europe maps 9=Europe and USA maps)
All of these have Widescreen and an optional remote control.
Traffic is available on the x20 and x30 ranges using an addon FM data receiver - not fantastic reception in the UK or GPRS over your mobile, while the x40 models have "HD Traffic" and other "Live" services via a dedicated SIM card and subscription.

Garmin must have similar models (minus the Live services AFAIK currently).

If you can find one, the TomTom GO920T has all three of your requirements in the box (I'm not sure if the 930T has the Remote control too).

Widescreen
Remote control
Traffic

Some people say the traffic reception is poor in places, but I've never had trouble with it myself. Having said which, I regard all the traffic information services as only slightly reliable. The only reason I pay any attention to the TomTom traffic is because it offers the choice of re-routing me around a traffic incident - the trouble is that the traffic incident is very often no longer incidenting, or has incidented but TomTom doesn't yet know about it!!

Thanks Dennis. I'd forgotten that for some reason the 920 (only) had a remote included.
