Hi there,
I have an Emtac sleeve and an Ipaq 3850 and was looking for some advice on the best external aerial for this unit to improve in-car reception.

Hi s3dbw
Just spotted your post about external aerial for Emtac jacket.I have been using an active anntena with the emtac jacket for just over a year now.I purchased it from Premier Electronics---Stock No999.93002. GPS Active Antenna GPA02-AM3.
It was £19.50 at the time.
It is giving good service.

The documentation that came with my Trine suggests that using anything but the Emtac external antenna will cause the device to malfunction, explode, spew acid, and otherwise misbehave. Is there any truth to this, or can I probably get another antenna, assuming it has the right connector?
Regards,
