Edited to add..... By the way, have you noticed, here we go again? A mere thirty hours after we hear from Darren about the latest navcore release and already we're up to EIGHT PAGES!

Changing the subject slightly, I placed a marker on the map...

How do I remove it? Embarassed

I've also just noticed that I can add or remove roundabouts now in map corrections, is that new?

No, that option has been there for quite a while.

Since upgrading to 8.350 I'm noticing a real slow down in route planning. One very long route from Bristol to Munich that took about 90 secs now takes about 3 mins.

Am I alone (of have I missed something) is seeing that Home on the map now has an icon of a house on it that was never there before?

Likewise, for me with a 720, the Operate My Go which I had managed to get working has now gone Pete Tong.

I'm also running my TT from the SD card as I now live in Australia. Which is fine and works, except that I am being offered an update to download for the Western Europe map when my device is the SD card. This is a more recent version that the Western Europe may I have.

When I change device to the hard disk, where the Western Europe map is, it will not show it as being available, even though I have signed up for the 4 updates, and had two to date...

Love this thing. Sometimes...

There is no reason why this shouldn't update, try it again with the PC connected to the internet and see what happens, if this fails there are a couple of tricks we can try if you really need the new Navcore - Mike

I just upgraded my GO 940 to the new v8.350 software and it went through flawlessly- pretty surprising really after reading this thread!

I quite ike the "Jump to" icons on the Browse Map display but apart from that there really are not many new features. One thing I did notice was slightly different text layout on the Route Summary page with a clearer comparison of the default route against the chosen route and the delays on them.

Still no sign of a return the ignition sensing auto switch-on that my old GO 910 received as part of the v7 upgrade some years ago... That was very useful.

Also is it my imagination or is 100% volume louder again? it got quieter after the last update...

Yes but it still doesn't display the roundabout on your map. your efforts are for TT's benefit only.

No it hasn't, it's new. You could only REPORT them before.

They cannot re-draw the main map, but once you've added a roundabout the TomTom now now it TREATS it as a roundabout for both the voice directions and for the icons on screen in the status bar. So it isn't just for TT's benefit.

Yes, but how many real problems?

The main one seems to be only affecting people who put the WRONG voices on their machines. Yes I know it was to try to fix a dreadful problem that TT had created, but you can't really blame them for new software not working properly with machines that have been messed with and not put back how they should be before an update.

A few others are reporting volume differences. Others are not. One person even thinks it is LOUDER now!... OK, more investigation needed.

Someone complains about the lack of a "change log" - TomTom *do* provide one HERE - and it's even up to date.

Someone else complains it's just eye candy, no new features. Well it is only supposed to be a minor update! And anyway, there ARE two big new features. I think the new markers are excellent and the return of the instructions on FM is a good workround for a legal issue that was not of TomTom's making.
Then there's the roundabout improvement, and the improvements to importing phone contacts.....

So, 8 or more pages, but then some people just love to moan.....

(Stands back and waits to be shot down in flames)

The bug is still not fixed on the 940 where the traffic tip screen keeps telling you that you could have used the traffic bar to get there and this tip will not go away.

On the plus side I can now use Live HD Traffic in TTHome - Operate my Device which never worked before.
