I had a few problems with this update.

After Tomrom Home restarted my 520, it kept rebooting itself.
I could connect it back to the PC and Home, but even with a pin reset it wouldn't come on when not connected.

It may have been because the battery was almost flat, or my settings had gotten corrupted somehow, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I went into Tomtom Home and then operate my go and after down loading a file, I was able to get in and reset my preferences.

After a pin reset it all seems to be working fine now Very Happy

Alternatively, if you're not on the road, my dumb method was TOMTOM Home, Operate My Device, ALT-PrtScn your screenshot, paste into your chosen app and crop. Thumbs Up

Saves having to mess around with folders if you only do it occasionally.

Not as elegant or techie though. Sad

However, every time I accidentally tapped up in the Left hand corner of the screen I landed up with another picture and consequently took the thing off with the intention of putting it back on when I needed it.

If you want to use the zoom in function which is top left without capturing a screen dump simply position your finger on screen to the right of the + sign then slide you finger over the + sign, you will get the zoom in function withour capturing a screen grab - Mike

I have just noticed that when using Operate mu GO in TT Home, the time on the route display is still on GMT, whilst when my GO920 is undocked, the time is on BST! Never noticed this before, is this a new feature of 8.350 Wink

My SD card was selected at time I d/loaded.
As a matter of interest is that where update would sit, and does the HDD
have a dupe of it too then?

Initially after successful reboot etc, "Update" in TT Home showed me still needing to d/load?
After manually switching on/off that has now gone.

Is anyone having problems with the voice and the pocketgps cameras?

My voice is Kate but my tomtom is now telling me that it is not a computer voice only a recorded voice.

I have checked in home and it's the 48meg version but it won't read the poi details for anything or the cameras

[ That's pretty much my thinking, to be honest. I've tried erasing everything off the TT and copying it back from my known good v8.302 backup, and the problem still exists, despite the fact that it definitely didn't prior to the v8.350 upgrade - that's what makes me suspect that the upgrade has something up.

I've raised a support ticket with Tomtom, so I'll see what they have to say about it. If they can't offer anything useful, I'll try a reformat. I might even try going back to the 'out of the box' backup that I made before I did anything to the unit when I first had it (which would take it to v7.something) - but I'll have to wait until I get to work later - that backup is on one of the PCs in the office (I had the unit delivered to work, and being the impetuous sort of fella that I am I couldn't wait until I got home to start playing with it! ;)).

Gareth. I have a 720 from TotalPDA (refurb) also. I've not done the update to 8.350 but have the same problem as you appear to be having. I'm running 8.302 and it had been fine up until last week when I noticed I wasn't getting the TMC traffic bar on the RHS. I played around and eventually reset it with a pin - and it worked. But the next time I used it - it had failed again. I then noticed the same problem with the dock on my PC - I had to reset the device before it would be seen by the PC. I think there is a problem with the USB connection - however I seem to have found a work around. As long as I remove the 720 from my powered Brodit mount BEFORE I turn it off then everything seems to be OK. I have my USB TMC device plugged into the BRODIT mount so it is on when I power up the car. It's been running OK for a few days now. I'm going to see how it goes for a few weeks as I don't really want to send it back for repair - it still has several months warranty left - and I'm off and about in the car over the next few weeks. But I would be interested in any response from TT that you may get!
