The spoken alerts for the speed camera POI files should be placed in to the UK&ROI folder which is the same location the database files should reside.
When you get the device back/ replacement device make sure you use a different e-mail address if its a different device, otherwise you really will have "fun" with the Live services and any subscriptions from TomTom - Mike |

Thanks Mike,
Thats good then - same as my older unit - just copy everything into the maps folder - nice and simple !
I arranged a credit for the returned unit, and bought a replacement being delivered Saturday, as we are off to Scotland for 10 days next Tuesday giving delivery and timescale problems, so hopefully it will all work ok this time round !
1. Open box
2. Backup using Windows Explorer
3. Install cams and Liz files
4. Backup using Windows Explorer
5. Connect to pc - log in from Home using a NEW email adress for this device
6. Update whatever is required
7. Backup using Windows Explorer
Lets see if I cant get it right this next time

If I may suggest the following order of things to do it might save you some considerable time:
1/ Back up using Windows Explorer.
2/ Connect to Home using NEW e-mail/ account.
3/ Update the Navcore software on the device.
4/ Update the map using LMG (v825 is the latest)
5/ Add the speed camera database to the map folder and the Liz voice files
6/ Disconnect from Home and switch the unit on, configure all your warnings for the speed cameras
7/ Connect to the PC and use Windows Explorer to back up the device
The reason I suggest this method is some of the recent updates to software and maps have wiped out the POI Warning configuration, this results in having to perform this again, following the above method will avoid such duplication and saves you at least five minutes (the time taken to configure the speed zoned database when using the ogg files - but this is a time to beat rather than typical ) - Mike |
