On my 02 Orbit2, I get as far as setting the route but when I hit the drive button the icon shows like its loading but just sticks then after a few minutes closes down, just once it loaded but 5 minutes into the journey it froze and shut down.
I cant think of anything Ive done to alter the settings.

It was interesting using an old paper map yesterday Laughing Out Loud.

Any ideas ?

Cheers.

it could be the device running out of memory make sure you have as little as possible running at the same time as cp7 is very memory hungry

Not sure if it's the same problem I get, but I use CoPilot Live. Unfortunately, if you are in an area with an intermittent phone signal CoPilot shuts down soon after the signal is lost. The answer to this problem is to decrease the frequency that is used in the Live setup to something like 1 minute (or maybe switch off Live altogether).

I checked and I dont have any programs running when Copilot is running.

I very rarely use live as I get fed up of the icon popping up on the screen when it looses a signal and it wont go away, most frustrating.

Thanks.

I had cause to hard reset my pda because of an unrelated problem, and bingo, it works fine after being re installed, thought might and didnt want to go down that route but another application forced me to.

A new twist to this, Ive found recently that when I use ALK EZP File (.ezp) (copied into the correct folder) safety camera updates, this causes the program to freeze up in the same way until I delete the safety camera file then it runs ok.

Does any one have a cure for this\/

Try a soft reset prior to running coPilot to free up as much memory as possible.

Mine is only 6 months old with windows 6.1 professional xda Orbit11 so I should think that update would be already included? possibly.

Mine does that all the time. Crashes for no reason with no warning. Usually in the most awkward place. I've tried various ROM and Radio ROM on my Touch Diamond. There's plenty of RAM and space available. CPL7 is riddled with nasty bugs.
It especially hates it when it can't establish a GPRS connection for its Live or traffic feed. In some parts of the country with no mobile signal, I can't get CPL7 to start at all unless I manage to disable the traffic connection first.
I have tried raising this to ALK but they just don't care.
Not seen the camera problem. I use both databases but CPL7 crashes with and without the cameras.
Looking for an alternative to CPL7 before I throw my smartphone through the window.
