When I use iGO8 on my Mio C710, I often get parts of the Windows Explorer bar in the lower part of my screen, when I touch the bottom of the screen. Anyone an idea how to get rid of that? |

Hi Jamie,
I suspect the problem is that the Mio has a slightly non-standard screen format (X * Y pixels) that is not supported by iGO out of the box. But there is a good chance that it can be adjusted in one of the iGO setup files. Have a look in the iGO section of this site, particularly at the thread "iGO8 Ultra Skin".
Incidentally where did you get hold of iGO8? Last time I looked they seem to be reluctant to sell it in the UK, but perhaps that has now changed. |

I think that you have possibly got the bar set to 'always on top'. This happens with my unlocked 710 and MioMap3.2 as well. When this is set, it MioMap seems to hide it, but it pops up when tapped. |

You need to change the Windows setting so that the bar is not always on top - although the iGo prog should do this for you automatically.
Be aware though that if you do this you will not be able to access other programs such as the bluetooth telephony software when the sat nav prog is running. |

Thanks for all your advice.
Where do I change the taskbar setting to something like "never on top"? Thanx again! |

Tap the windows icon on the taskbar, choose settings, then 'Taskbar and Start Menu' then uncheck the 'always on top' checkbox. It does not always work for some reason or other. |

From Windows CE Desktop go to - Start - Settings - Taskbar and Start Menu... you'll find the normal "Always on top" & "Auto hide" options there |

That's what I expected, yet that function seems to be hidden on my device
However, I reïnstalled iGO earlier today and now it somehow works like a charm.
I'll never fully understand computers, but I guess I should enjoy my current settings while they last
Thanks for all your help! |
