Hi all, I have a TomTom one xl europe22
App. 8.014 (9372/080613)
Os:198799
32mb ram (avalible: 3.0mb)
gps v1.21 boot 5.5019
map western europe v815.2024
I was wondering if I could upgrade my gps to a "xl europe 31" with map Western and central europe v725.1915
Can this be done?
I have seen a lot of info on older machines and a little info on a "europe31".
As you can see in the link the two machines are very much alike.

Europe 31 just means the TT is loaded with a Western & Central europe map covering 31 countries. The map gives no other features than you already have on your XL, so its purely a map upgrade

ok I see but my tomtom only has 1 gb of room how mush does the 31 have?
edit just found it tis also a 1gb machine thanks for the prompt help. |

The 31 map inmy 730 is 1.46GB, thats inc my POI's

That's as maybe, but there are differently sized versions for different models.
You just need to go to the TomTom on-line Map shop and put your model in the box. It will then show you a list of the maps available, their coverage, AND the size in MBytes.
There is also a warning:
