TomTom Home - Second User

My son has given me his TomTom One XL he has an account with Home with his email, what is the best way for me to "take over" the use of Home and map updates etc for my use. I have his password so I can access his account, can I just change the email address or is it more complicated than that?

I believe the easiest way is if you log into *his* account at TomTom (or get him to) and then you can change the email address to yours.

Got to the main TomTom website, log in as him, click on "My TomTom" at the top right, and you should get a page with 3 panels.
"My profile" is on the left and has the "change email address" option.
