Garmin Nuvi 300T bought Oct 2007 (RAC Trafficmaster TMC). Traffic info used to be fairly reliable but in last 3 days I have ignored 7 out of 7 obviously false traffic warnings including '4 miles stationery traffic M1 J19 to J20' only very light traffic travelling at normal speed encountered. This is now worse than motorway signs. I thought it was supposed to be based on sensors. I have lost confidence in the traffic info. Anyone else noticed a change? Any ideas why this problem might be occurring now?

That's Traffic for you.

TomToms new HD Traffic totally missed a 2 Junction closure on a motorway that was all over the news this morning.

With the Garmin one I've also been diverted off a motorway due to slow traffic ahead and routed through a town only to be be put back on the motorway at the tail end of the traffic jam!!!

On the other hand it did advise i didn't go home via the A3 one day and i missed a huge accident and 45 minutes delays.....

When it works correctly it's great, but it is hit and miss....

It's like all these things, I used to have a TrafficMaster unit in the Feekmobile and would get frustrated when it told me that there were seven miles of very slow traffic ahead, expect 40 minutes delay and then I'd be working out a diversion route when the next alert came up as clear!
