Ahh, I see now Mike.
I missed that option when they killed 3rd party apps, it made reporting new camera's easier. Although the PGPSW map works well it would be easier to add latiude and longitude figures.

What is the name of the map on the SD card, and if you view the contents of the map folder are there a whole load of files named cspeech_XYZ.dat in the folder, the XYZ part will be country letters such as GBR for the UK - Mike |

The map on the sd card is called:
Western_Europe.tlv
Thats the only file within the maps folder on the SD card.
There are no cspeech files of any sort....
My TomTom had some cspeech files but they are GB and when copied over to the maps folder they didn't work...

I just looked in 'Western Europe' folder and there are loads of cspeech files.
I'm guessing cspeech_SWE.dat is the one it should be using :S

By "map folder" we mean the folder named after the map region (such as "Western Europe".
TomTom confused matters by only recently adding a folder that is actually called "map".
You don't "use" one of the speech files, they just all need to be there.
Have you tried: first - a reset and second - a return to factory settings?
Did you copy the MapSettings.cfg file over from a previous device (to try to keep your favourites and POI warnings. If you did, it will mess up speech recognition. You need to delete MapSettings.cfg (in the Western Europe folder) and let the machine create a new one (you'll lose your favourites and POI warnings if you do this). |

Yes to both

I have just tried this and restarted the device - the option was grey'ed ut on the quick menu - i then went to preferences/quick menu and it wasn't listed. Went back to the default screen and it had vanished from the quick menu.
Still no joy
