|
|
I have just downloaded the latest speed camera data base onto my TomTom 910, I have followed the instructions as per on here, no problems and thankyou.
What I what to know is when I paste them onto my TomTom file do I have to delete the ones already on the TT, the reason I ask is on a long journey (500 miles) the next day it was warning me of cameras that quite clearly were possibly old locations, do I still have the old database as well as the new one on my system or does the new one automatically overwrite any old database. |

When you update the database the new files replace the old one so there shouldn't be any old data left on the device - BUT if you have previously used a different type of download you might have old data on the unit as the different downloads use different file names.
Have a look in the map folder using Windows Explorer and see how many files start with the file name pocketgps_uk_xyz.ov2 |

Do you mean it was the TomTom supplied database? if so then our database is entirely separate. You can disable TomTom's via the PLUS Services menu on your device. _________________ Darren Griffin |

In the PLUS Services Menu Screen jsu select the Disable Option. I've never used them so am unable to give you a definitive answer as to what is on that screen.
The other, alternative, way is to remove the camera files altogether. See #13 on the TT FAQs Page. _________________ Richard
