7 in 1 card reader and constant card corruption of MMC Card

Hi all

I bought a 7 in 1 reader from 7dayshop was only £10 or so so no biggy here, however I have found that it seems to constantly corrupt the MMC cards that came with my Medion ALDI bundle PPC250.

Would this be because of the format of the card (I have tried many formats both on the machine and on my PC).

Could it be a duff reader/writer unit? Its connected to my PC running WinXP Pro (no service pack 1) its is connected via a USB mini hub.

Any comments suggestions would be grateful otherwise I may be sending it back.

Was thinking maybe Im doing something wrong here. The cards copy files fine between PC and PPC via active sync yet when I use the reader all I get is a corrupt card.

Wierd :/ The MMC card Im using is the one that came with the PocketPC 256mb Medion branded card.

gonna answer my own post here as it may be of help to anyone else having memory card reader/writer problems.

I have found that the machine will corrupt the card and/or wont read the card if I write it in the card writer and then put it in my pocketpc WHILE IT IS CONNECTED TO ACTIVE SYNC USING THE DOCKING STATION.

Sorry for caps but that bit was really important

If I undock the pocketpc and write the card in the card writer then insert it into the pocketpc while it is UNDOCKED then the memory card reads/writes/works fine.

dont ask me why its wierd but it works :D

I will try that also. My 6 in one card reader was giving errors today for the first time and a I had my PDA on the cradle also.
