Do you mean memory card, or credit / debit card?
I think its difficult for anyone to say without seeing what you ordered and how. Did you perhaps accidentally specifically order it on a memory card? (I seem to remember that can be an option) Were you logged on using the same identity as when using TomTom Home? If not, then 'obviously' there is no way for TomTom to link up you as a purchaser with a particular TomTom Home user. |

What model of Tomtom do you have?
Which version of system software do you have?
Which version of Tomtom Home?
You may just need to get the right version of each so that the tomtom and Tomtom Home talk to each other. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

paid via the tomtom website and apparently when i start tomtom home it should update with the latest map, only it doesnt
i received thsi from tomtom
"You need to make sure that your device code is associated to your acccount first or the map will not be assigned to your account.
To do this, please follow these steps:-
Open TomTom Home
Log in to your account with your email address and password (click on File, Login)
Connect your TomTom to the computer and switch it on.
TomTom Home will prompt you to update your account with the new device. Please do this."
this doent happen, when i power on the tomtom it home just runs as normal, in the device tab, the add new device is grey'd out
can anyone help? cause at the minute its a waste of 40 notes |

IIRC, in these circumstances, you Select Add Maps, Traffic, Voices, etc and then Maps.
The list should show what you have on your Device, what's on your PC and what's available to download (if it's not already on your PC). _________________ Richard

I'm afraid your picture is too big for the forum so I've edited it out - if you want to show it, please reduce it to max 400 pixels wide. In the meantime, here's a copy of my invoice which shows the same Invoice and Delivery Addresses and I got mine by credit card (including the dreaded Securecode or whatever) download. How different is yours? Note I'll be removing my picture link shortly, so re-do yours if you want to show the picture.

By credit card, downloaded. All done via TT Home.
Just a thought (can't harm trying, you're not getting anywhere with TT until Monday anyway) - why not try clicking on that map they say needs to be paid for and see if it actually WANTS you to pay for it - maybe it just says the price and if you go for it you'll get it for "nothing". Give it a try (but of course, don't pay for it again).
The reason I have two items on my invoice is because I bought the new Map Update Service - update to latest map PLUS updates for a year, all at a cost lower than the current price of the latest map bought via the map website. If you end up speaking to TomTom on Monday, it might be worth your while asking whether the new Map Update Service applies to your device and could you convert your payment to that (because you still haven't downloaded the map). _________________ Dennis
