Assurances that the price drop wouldn't be too dramatic? |

That they knew nothing about anything upcoming, that the only thing that could be changed is the price and that the likelihood of a price change after a week was pretty slim, and if it was to be changed it wouldn't be too dramatic |

When in these sorts of dealings with TT customer support, just the first six words of your post would have been enough....
Either that or they too are under the non-disclosure agreement.... |

Then she was indeed the best actress in the world ever, beating that lady who used to play grotbags in that Rod Hull thingy into a valiant 2nd place, she did laugh lots and said lots of amusing things, so she my have been reading from a script. |

I heard something like you could subscribe map updates for 1 year.Like speed cameras.
You pay a annual fee and you get letīs say 3 map updates.
Not sure if the information is true |

Bought the 8.10 UK+ROI map for my 520 yesterday; ALG is included-doesn't work in DEMO mode while connected to the PC which confused me at first! I could swear the 520 first reported that ALG wasn't available; perhaps rebooting sorted this? Shame you need the map up for it to work. |

Maybe those who've taken the plunge and bought it, would like to go through the map and see how many errors are in it. |

That would keep then occupied for quite a while.
New maps always contain errors. Hopefully MapShare will be gradually better tuned in allowing for map corrections to be integrated quicker into new map releases. |

All I can say is that the Lane Guidance does actually work very well. From previous posts I would suggest it appears maybe more often, and the IQ routes looks good too. |

No support for the 910. I've been waiting for an update to fix the TMC for over 12 months now. Seems TomTom have forgotten about these problems.
Time to write back and stamping ones feet!!! |

The compass is a product of the software and nothing to do with the version of map installed to the device - so the compass is the same as it was prior to updating the map - Mike |

Sorry for breaking in, but this would require a new firmware release after 8.010 that is the latest at present. Let's hope that TomTom brings out a firmware update soon for the x20 and x30 devices. |
