Advert in the Dail Mail today for iPAQ 2210 and Tom Tom Navigator 3 plus car kit. £299 separate price £569. I presume that includes the GPS?

Can't see any details on the PC World website so may have to pop in to the shop.

Seems a good deal?

If you goto www.pcworld.co.uk and enter a search for tomtom 3 and view exact matches then you will find the deal 2nd down the list. I have pasted the link so try clicking here

www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0543797754.1085639655@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccciadclglieedhcflgceggdhhmdfhl.0&page=ProductList&category_oid=-17456&search=match&criterion=tomtom%203

Also can someone tell me how to make that url appear as a click here I would appreciate it

Yes the details are correct in that the offer is for the complete kit. I happen to work there but would advise you that I doubt if any packages are still available. Yesterday (Wednesday) we cleared the whole stock. We then tried to transfer kits from other stores but could find none in the South West. If you are able to find a store with some stock make sure that they have the car kit because this is in very short supply.

How to make a click here link.

Using the buttons available above the edit box when you print a reply, first click URL

You get a "[url]" come up. Now, instead of pasting your link outside the bracket, paste it inside, adding an "=" sign, so it looks like this.

"(url=www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0543797754.1085639655@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccciadclglieedhcflgceggdhhmdfhl.0&page=ProductList&category_oid=-17456&search=match&criterion=tomtom%203)"

Next, type in the word you want. When I do it, I also change the font colour to red so that it stands out, like this.

To do this bit, click on font colour, and you get "(color=x)(/color)", where x is your chosen colour. Put your word in between the back to back square brackets (][). Finally, making sure you're at the end of the sentence, click URL again.

You should end up with something like this in longhand

Click "(url=www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0543797754.1085639655@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccciadclglieedhcflgceggdhhmdfhl.0&page=ProductList&category_oid=-17456&search=match&criterion=tomtom%203)(color=red)here (/color)(/url)" for the link.

I've changed all the square brackets for parentheses where necessary, otherwise it looks like I'm *really* creating a link! Anyway, when youve done all that, it should look like this.

As I've already posted in another thread, you can't direct link to the offer, as the PC World site is session based.

If you go to http://www.pcworld.co.uk and search for 089027 you'll find the offer.

Can I suggest that all discussion / follow-ups go to the first thread to be started on this, which you will find here.

There are loads of places (on the net) that you can still get it for around £300

for example...

http://www.totalpda.co.uk/TomTom-Navigator-III-with-HP-iPAQ-2210.aspx

I believe thats the same deal...

I went for a Tosh e800 in the end and also a TomTom BT GPS thingy, due to the 2210 being replaced soon.

Hope that helps

Regards

Richard

That deal doesn't include the car kit, or VAT. The total including the car kit and postage comes to over £414.
