TomTom 720T vs 720 TMC Antenna

Need some advice to resolve an issue with an Ebay seller!. Does the 720T have the TMC unit built in or is it a standard 720 that is supplied with a TMC lead/pod? ie is the antenna unit for each different....one with the "pod" (720) and one without (720T)

It does not have built-in TMC. It is a bundle of the GO720 and the TomTom TMC module.

As Tim said:

720 + receiver/pod = 720T

The 720T is sold complete with the receiver/pod, but this receiver/pod must be attached to the windscreen and plugged into the 720 for the TMC function to work.

A receiver/pod may be purchased separately to 'upgrade' a 720 to a 720T, but the GPS devices are identical in every other way.
