I have a TT 530T and would like to know if it is possible to have both the TMC Traffic and the TomTom GPRS traffic connected at the same time. Will they compliment each other or conflict and cause problems. The main reason I would like to know is I am awaiting delivery of the new version Carcomm cradle which has a permanent connection for the TMC cable built in. I already have a subscription to the TT Traffic service via GPRS. I appreciate that the TMC service is probably not as up to date or reliable as the GPRS service but there maybe situations where the phone signal is poor and the radio is sufficient for a good signal. Any assistance on this matter would be appreciated.

You are a lot more likely to get a mobile phone signal than RDS-TMC data in my experience, although things do seem to be improving on the TMC front.

The issue is that as soon as you plug an RDS-TMC receiver in to the TomTom device it will shut off the GPRS traffic system, you cannot run both at the same time - Mike
