Re the none appearance onTT3 - as of yesterday the Ordnance Survey - Get-a-map is not showing any detail except the proposed route. Streetmap and Multimap are also without any detail.
It would appear that if these uptodate on-line systems have not got it yet then TT3 which had a cut off date for data would have no hope.

TomTom maps (from TeleAtlas) have nothing at all to do with OS maps. For the M6 to appear on TomTom 3 a bunch of surveyors form TeleAtlas need to drive it, and make their notes on road style, speed limits, intersection layout etc. Roads will not appear on TomTom unless TeleAtlas engineers have driven them.

Just to be clear - we know that the M6 Toll Road has been surveyed by TeleAtlas and has been made available from their January 2004 map release - as used by Alturion. TomTom's Navigator 3 data pre-dates this (October 2003).
