|
|
I have one of the original TomTom ones I've never updated anything on it and don't really know how to. The Map really does need an update and I'd like to add speed camera's too.
Is it best to download and update the software
Or shall I buy a New TomTom one I see I can get TOMTOM-ONE-GB-V3 for £74.98 delivered from Empire Direct, though I'd still need to get the speed camers stuff.
If I do need to download software how straightforward is it?
Currently my TomTom has an SD card so I'm thinking maybe I could download new maps on to a new SD card and then if anything goes wrong I can just revert to the old card?
Any suggestions? |

If all you need are new maps stick with the device you have got, the newer One devices are supplied with no SD slot and are "Dumbed Down" in terms of menu options.
A new UK map will cost you around £30 with the current discount, add to that the price of a speed camera subscription from this web site £19 it will be considerably cheaper than purchasing a new device that offers very little in way of functionality and you would still need a reliable camera database (there is only one location that can come from, and it doesn't have anything to do with TomTom) - Mike |
