I recently upgraded my GO910 via TT Home after it crashed and I had to reset it.
Now half my POIs are spelled in gibberish, especially the Pocket GPS camera sites. The only ones in English are the UK Specs set.
Any suggestions as to what's gone wrong and how I can cure this?

Just to clarify things, Asda is shown as
@äÜ
and KFC is shown as
Ö*yB
The only way I recognise them is by their logos but there are some logos that I don't recognise.
The speed camera warnings work OK also but I'd like to get it back to how it was

There HAS been a previous occurrence of this (either here or yourNav). I remember seeing a screen grab of it.
I can't think of the best search terms to find it, but that's the best way forward.

I've had this problem for over a year and not found a solution. It does not affect the operation though and it is only the PGPSW files that are affected.

So do the solutions in either my link or Oldboy's link not work?

I dont have any *.inf files in my map folder so there arn't any to delete. Have not tried reloading the POI files. Its not all the POI files that are corrupt, only the ones with associated .ogg files so I think it has something to do with them. As I said it does not affect the operation of anything so I am not too much concerned except it would be nice to tidy them up.

Thanks guys
Removing the .inf files has sorted it.

Rob

Oops. Another small problem.
How do I alter or remove the irritating warning I get when I exceed the speed limit?
Not that I do of course!!

Thanks for that.
I remember setting it up.
I couldn't see any way of putting in a custom warning.
Is that impossible?

The fix (deleting the .inf file) makes my TT ONE V2 GB work a treat now....

No more searching through "gibberish text"

Cheers again - and keep up the good work guys and gals....
