TomTom Go x20/x30 Alternative Mounts?

Hey all,

Currently own a Go 910 which is just over a year old, considering an upgrade to the 930 in the summer once it's released properly in the UK.

However, it seems to use the same mounting as the x20 units and the default mount isn't going to work well in my setup.

I have a Pug 307, the windscreen is quite far away from the seats at the base which leaves the unit out of reach, at the moment I've got a sticky disc on my dashboard to the left of the speedo, etc. and I use the standard suction mount on this - works well and is a nice position.

I've tried my Dad's 720 but because the mount attaches near the top of the unit (rather than the bottom on the 910) then the unit fouls on the dash unless I have it angled up by ~45 degrees - no good obviously!

I'm wondering if you have any alternative mount suggestions? I'm aware of the Brodit kit and use one for my iPod which is great, but the one I'd need to use for a GPS is kinda ugly and sits over the centre vents, also a bit lower that I'd prefer.

I've been looking on the RAM site (believe they make the x10 mount?) and they seem to have some x20 mounts that are a bit bulky but look they'd do the job - has anyone tried these, and is there a UK stockist?
