Nuvi 250 stops navigation whan charging ?

Hi guys and gals

I am quite new to garmin as i only used tt before.

My nuvi 250 stops navigating when i stick in the usb car charger.

This looks very strange to me. My former tomtom ( unfortunately stolen from my car) was running regardless of that.

Is that normal or not?

If not does anyone have an idea of the reason for this?

I am using the original one. So the charger should go back to dixons for replacement.
