Does it charge from mains? Does the cigarette lighter socket power other devices? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Oh I forgot to mention the car charger works fine on my mobile phone, think that is eliminates the car charger element. |

Indeed it does, difficult to diagnose further but a repair would seem the only option. I'd suggest you give Garmin UK a call. _________________ Darren Griffin |

i have had the same problem with my 360.
my fix was to bend up the tiny spring connectors with a pin and clean with
WD40 on a cut down cotton bud.
If you are not happy doing this, LET GARMIN SORT IT FOR YOU.
ITS NOT EASY TO DO.
not sure if your unit is the same as my 360, |

Just hired a car for week as mines in for body-panel repairs, installed the in-car charger and it starts charging, albeit slowly. It would appear my car`s Aux 12v connection may be faulty.
Ill know more after a few days if the problem does not re-occur.
The absence of similar complaints on the forum, made me question if it was car-related.
Dont understand why my mobile was able to be charged on the Aux.connection?
Thanks for all your input ,much appreaciated,
Robbo |

But that wouldn't explain the unit not charging from mains? _________________ Darren Griffin |

The explanation for the AC not charging is I was not using the correct cable.Have realised the Nuvi 310 is not supplied with an AC charging cable only the incar cable and the PC cable adapter.Which im using now to slowley charge the battery.
(Im resisting my wifes suggestion to change my name to Rodney), |
