I'm thinking of buying a Nuvi 760 in the hope that I can put the suction disk on part of my car console instead of the window.

Could some kind soul measure the max diameter of the suction disk for me, please. I don't have a lot of room.

If anyone has that Anti Slip Dashboard mount I'd be interested in its dimensions as well.

Thanks in anticipation.

If you mean the diameter of the actual sucker it's approx 5.5cm or 2.2 inches...

The dashboard disk, which is self-adhesive on one side and which the suction cup will stick to on the other is slightly less than 6.5cm in diameter.

Paul,

Thanks for that about the sucker disk.

With regard to the friction mount I meant the dimensions of one of these devices.

Anyone got one they could measure for me please?

This review shows some shots of it in use for reference.

About the size i'd imagine it to be, but not sure what those "Product Dimensions" refer to. The box????

Thanks Paul. Those dimensions must be the box.

The Nuvi 760 is 12 cms wide. In the bottom picture on the site you flagged the bean bag is about 1/3 wider.

The bean bag doesn't go with the section cup of course. But if you want to go the bean bag route, it's 19.5cm the long side and 17.75cm the narrower side.

The bean bag works well in a rental car or in the other family car that you may not drive as often. But it does move around a bit over time. So you need to to keep an eye on it.

Thanks CF,

And we are still in agreement that the suction disk has a diameter of about 5.5 cms. Not doubting the earlier post - but simply checking before this thread dies.
