I have recently received my satmap, with software version 1.16. For the first few attempts it was very poor at finding satellites - up to 45 minutes before I gave up. So, I let it aquire a lock in the conservatory, and then left it alone for a couple of hours to download the satellite almanac. Since then, it has only taken a couple of minutes to obtain a lock. |

1,16 was "released" mid last week as there is a an issue (apparently) with 1,15, my unit was upgraded to 1,15 and has worked fine ever since, I am not even sure what the issue with 1,15 is!! - Mike |

1.16 doesn't seem to be downloadable...just on an SD card ? I suppose it would be good to know what the problem is/was with 1.15....wouldn't like to be caught out 'up top' the for the sake of an update ! |

To-day I had my first outing after installing 1.16.
At the end of my walk, I stopped the trip lock, turned the A10 off and drove home.
Then, in my bedroom, I switched on again to review my (unplanned) route and trip log BUT it gained a satellite lock and homed in on my home!
Result: Log details seem to be about right but the profile is contaminated, converting the track to a route leaves me with a long trail from the end of my walk to my home - Grrrrrrrrr!!
BUT the satellite lock seems to be greatly improved |

1/ Convert the trip log to a route at the end of your walk BEFORE moving off in a car. This will preserve the data.
To recover the situation though use the Show Route and Edit function, put the cursor over one of the stray marks and it will turn green, use the mark delete button to remove this from the Route, repeat until you have got back to a usable Route, it should take too long - Mike |
