Hi all -

I'm OK on PCs, but a bit shaky on satnavs. Mine's a Tomtom One (V1). I've installed the latest Tomtom s/w, and have just joined Pocket GPS world (great!).

I've got from here the latest camera DB, and the .ogg voice files (Vickie). They work fine, but I still get the annoying bell/bong before Vickie's voice tells me about the camera.

How do I suppress the bing/bong? and just leave the voice?

Thanks -

Mike.

Hi, If you are getting the spoken warnings, then I asume the "Bing Bongs", are from the TomTom speed camera database, so you can either disable the TomTom ones, or delete them altogether, I think you do that through TomTom HOME. Can I sugest you have a look here, number 1,

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=50045

and make a FULL WINDOWS EXPLORER BACKUP, BEFORE, you start deleting things, and there is more good advice/tips there too.

The instructions are exactly the same.

Are you having a problem at some point in the process?

A bit more information might help us to advise you.

Are you using the TT cameras as well?

If so you can turn then off in the TomTom PLUS services Menu.

Tap the screen to get the Main Menu displayed.

Find Page 3 of 3.

Tap TomTom PLUS services.

Tap TomTom Safety Cameras.

You then have the various Options relating to the TT Cameras.

If you get a Blue Screen telling you how to join the Service and a Continue Button, then you don't have TT Cameras installed. In which case it must be something else that is causing the 'bongs'.

In which case I shall be Confused
