i also have a one 3rd edition.
the only possible problem i have is that it makes a whining noise when switched on. you can hear it whining/whirring away quite clearly with no radio on in the car at a standstill.
is it a common thing or is it fried already after 2 days ownership? also, if you out your ear to the speaker you can hear a fan like sound...im guessing this is the chips fan working?
cheers again |

Sorry to say this but you need to take it back and get it changed, for a start there is no fan in the device, the noise you can hear is most probably from the screen back light inverter which produces quite a high voltage, when faulty these can (and do) whine - Mike |

The map share updates are not really much use to you as yet, get the device swapped for another one before you waste time updating the faulty device - Mike |

If I take something back during the first month I always have a refund, then I buy it again. That way you warranty starts again. Obviously not a good idea if the price has gone up. |
