Hi! We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
I don't think your experience of our forums reflects that of the vast majority of other users. I know you've been on the receiving end of few unnecessarily heated replies here in the past, perhaps we're just guilty of misconstruing the intent of some of your posts on occasion? They can be very wordy
However, despite your experience, I am certain that the vast majority of the members here find our little corner a very welcoming and helpful place to spend time.
Thanks Darren.
To be fair, YES there is indeed truth to what you say, now that I think about it, in that the friction I allude to DOES seem aimed largely just at me.
And that's a worrying thing.
I appreciate 'we' started off bad - that is, myself and those of Admin that chose to respond to my first ever posts.
The worrying thing therefore is that the implication is, from 'some' people, this will continue ad infinitum, whenever and wherever I make a post that is questioning, rather than applauding.
So I trust that if this IS the case, those that feel such a way either finally decide to desist now, once and for all, or at the very least, now publicly state their dislike, rather than pretending all is well, but then giving frosty replies to any post I make that is not gushing and flowery.
So I am not always gushing and flowery. Of course not - but what would you prefer me to be, false, shallow, and artificial? Now that WOULD give ample reason for you to dislike me, so no, I won't ever be those things.
Make no mistake, this site is an immense place, with a huge depth of knowledge.
But it doesn't mean it has to be frosty too.
So hopefully things WILL start to die down now.
But if some people cannot see things this way, at least be honest enough to mention it here, now.
And to the poster who's thread I have now rather ran astray with, apologies for it going OT.

Spike you better believe the download will eat up your 5 Gig allowance, it took me five attempts each time dropping from Tomtom, final attempt done overnight succeeded (could be that as the Map is newly out there is a lot of demand at the moment).
I only have 56k dowload speed it took nearly 8 hours to download and cost me an extra couple of quid for going over my allowance not that I mind that as I am pleased to have got it.
Hope you enjoy your 920t as much as I am(only had it just over a week)Put the voice files found on this forum on my GPS World cameras this morning makes the whole object of warning seem much more serious than Bells and Whistles. How much better can this new toy get.
