Back to the xulrunner problem.... Wink

I don't know if this is relevant to the memory leak or whether it is mentioned in any of the other posts, but this is the answer I got from TomTom when I asked on behalf of someone who was getting xulrunner problems when trying to use the emulator in Home:

Quote:
Why does the customer receive an error message, followed by an application crash when he uses the option "Operate my Device" in TomTom HOME 2.0?

Customers using TomTom HOME 2.0 get the following error message when using the Operate my Device option with his compatible device connected to the computer (always make sure that the device is compatible with the version of TomTom HOME used):

Xulrunner.exe

To solve this issue, guide the customer to do the following:

Close the HOME application. To do so, go to the Windows system tray (bottom-right corner of the screen) and right-click on the HOME icon. Select Exit.

Delete files in the folder: C:\Program Files\TomTom HOME 2\xul\plugins\emulator\navcore
Note: If the installation directory is different from the default one, just search for "\xul\plugins\emulator\navcore"

For Vista Customers:

Check also \Users\{username}\AppData\Local\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\{random string}\ and delete the navcore directory, if it exists.

AppData is a hidden folder by default. You may need to make this visible first:

Inside the explorer window, select Folder Options under the menu Tools.

Click on the View tab and make sure that the option "Show hidden files and folders" is selected.

Click OK.
Start HOME again.

Select Operate my Device.

This should trigger the download of the latest emulator DLL.

After the DLL file has been downloaded, the emulator should function properly.

May not be relevant, but may contain a clue.

Will give that a try tomorrow Andy. As a wild potshot, I downloaded the latest build of the Mozilla xulrunner and placed that in the Home folder. Still got the same prob. Thanks for your suggestion, will post back with result.

Cheers
