I have found that setting up an Itinery with local roads and lost of turns, and then running demo mode, shows the problem too, so it's easy to check if things are working.
You can run demo mode faster than real time, and the result is the same.
Would appreciate others trying this to see what they get - errors or no errors. |

Ok, this is getting interesting.
I have now found that using a 'Y' adaptor, or in car holder, that provides for charging and external/headset sound causes the voice cut-off problem to become a lot worse!
Can anyone else please test this to see if it's the same from them? |

Have now loaded Garmin XT and have no voice issues!
Must be a TomTom problem - but they are not being very helpful |

Hi mrg2003, I've been on the xda-developers site a lot - no solution there...
This is a real issue - and the fact Garmin works 100% suggests this is a real TomTom issue... |

Hi, I'm having the same problem as Eugene7, but what is strange is that I had my phone since August and only in the last week this is happened.
I have reinstalled the voices, then tried reinstalling TT and also put the voices in main folder of the device, the rest is on SD, still no joy. The only thing I have not reinstalled is the map itself, could that be the problem? |

Sorry, M8. I tried.
I isntalled mine from the cab file only, as I could not get the CD to work properly. I used tomtom home to update the voices. |

Hi Mike, Thanks for your replay. The phone was as i set it up from the start ( I did all the donkey work then ), I say was because I had a full SPB backup of when TT was installed ( I make a backup prior to any software installation ), I hard reset it the device, installed the backup and so far it seems to be working ok. It just goes to show that backups are vital!!!!
Thanks again |
