i HAVE A TOMTOM 1 NEW EDITION AND THE AUDIO IS SOUNDING BROKEN,
MY SOUNDS PLAY CLEAR THROUGH THE PC.
HAVE THEY GOT ANY KNOWN SPEAKER PROBLEMS AND CAN THE SPEAKER BE REPLACED?

Welcome... there's no need to shout though.

I think I've seen a few reports of duff speakers on the One models.
First thing to check is if you are still in the guarantee period, many TomToms had 2 year guarantees. Check the small print in one of the files in the "Licences" folder on the TT.
If not under guarantee, give these boys a call:

Thanks for your help.
I was hopeing to be able to repair myself as I think the speaker as blown it seems the case can be dismantled with a star drive, the onely prob being getting a micro speaker of the correct impedance

Those guys might be able to sell you the part to fit yourself.

Although if you've got to buy a set of Torx/star drivers too, it might be no cheaper Laughing, they are pretty reasonable.

You could probably source the same speaker from Maplins or CPC etc. but without knowing the part number or the spec, you'd have to take the TT apart first and use some educated guesswork. Plus of course you'd be voiding the guarantee.
