Hi
I've been trying a friend route66 software on his PPC and it seems vey good (I currently run TT5 on mine) I've found my way around most things but something I can't find is a way to avoid a section of a route.
Is it possible to say "the next x miles is closed" like you can in TT or go into the intinary and say you want to avoid a section? If so what versions is this possible in and how do you do it.
Thanks

No, you can't. In my view it's a major omission, as it's almost essential to be able to make any use of the TMC traffic updates.

It is possible to alter the chosen route but it is not easy and a tad difficult to find the option, the TMC data will force a re-route if you select it to do so, thi part of the user interface could do with improving as it is one of those things you know the device can do but struggle finding the option in the menu - I hope vs8 is better in this respect - Mike |

Mike,
How do you do this? For example, I was in a traffic jam (which TMC did warn me about, it was just much bigger than it thought) but couldn't tell R66 to avoid the next x miles. In TomTom it's trivial, I really expected something similar.
Cheers,
