I have searched for this topic already, but couldn't find, so apologies if it's already been discussed.

I've got a MyGuide 3100, added the speed camera database no problem.

I've been emailed two files which contain the location of sites across the country for my job, and they're in the .ov2 format (which I believe to be the TomTom standard POI file).

Are these files compatible with my unit, and if not, how do I go about making them compatible?

If someone could inform me where abouts to put these (or the converted if needs be) files in the MyGuide unit, that would be really helpful too as the only POI folder I can find contains on the Speed Camera locations folder.

Thanks guys,

- Craig.

You need to use the software from the following location:

http://inetcom.hu/mick/igo/

This works fine with the myguide software (which is basically rebadged IGO) and converts the .ov2 files.

That would seem logical place
ie
\Flash Disk\MyGuide\poi
which is where speedcams go.

Basically copy the iGO.db (this is the database for the POi's) file from the myguide folder on the flashdisk.

Put this somewhere on your PC and make a backup of it.

Open it with the software and update it with your own choice of POi's.

Copy it back to your flashdisk.

Job done

Igo won`t import the BMP icons for POI you have to use a choice of provided Igo icons

Igo POI Explorer, discovered it thanks to this forum:

http://inetcom.hu/mick/igo/

Handles converting .ov2 to .txt(?) poi files and loads them into the Myguide 3100, they appear under My POI.Works a treat.

POI editor has Igo`s native format as .upd(?)

Can't get this to work, is there an idiot's guide somewhere?

I copied igo.db which when I looked at it via the software was empty. I imported 2300 low bridges (for HGV use) copied them to the .db file & wrote them back. They now appear in the igo.db file if I copy it back again after closing the program. But when using the Myguide I can't see them
