Hi,
I ordered my TT3 upgrade at the weekend and so await that with enthusiasm. Also at the weekend i upgraded my ROM on my iPAQ 2210 via the HP website.

All is good, but the process did wipe off TT2 completely and left my iPAQ like a vigin PDA again. My question is: Do i need to install TT2 again and then apply the TT3 upgrade or can i just install TT3 from fresh when i receive it?

I would really like to just insatll TT3 fresh and not on top of TT2!

P.S. I have heard a few people say that TT3 is not compatible with my iPAQ 2210 - is this correct as this must be a very popular PDA and you would think that would definitely be supported.

Many thanks,

Ian

Can't comment on the 2210 compatibility, but I would say that a clean install of TTN3 is the way to go. What you receive is a full version of the software, not an upgrade CD like e.g. Adobe supply that needs to see the old version.

I agree with NickE, that a clean install of TTNav3 is preferable. However it depends on how TT have implemented the upgrade process.

It would be nice to think that our existing registration codes would activate TTNav3, but TT may have written the process so that as a prerequisite to the upgrade, a full copy of TTNav2 has to be preloaded.

I’m sure that TTNav3.00 is OK with the H2210, but there are problems with TTNav3.01 with the H2210. The solution is not to upgrade to TTNav3.01, but to wait for a newer update from TT.

Regards,

HI

TT3.0 IS compatible with the Ipaq 2210 (see below) but the UPGRADE to TT3.01 is not compatible. The message on the TomTom website says that they are aware of it and will be posting a 2210 specific upgrade in the near future.

I wish they would do it soon as I don't like to be behind in such matters, but otherwise the software and PDA work fine together

Cheers

Steve
