Although I've been subscribed to the site for two years now, I've never felt the need to ask for help until now...
I've been using a GO300 with 6.52 software and PGPSW camera locations with no problems at all. I now have a ONE v3 with Tomtom's own camera locations. Having used it a couple of times I prefer the PGPSW ones, principally for the flexibility of warning distances and the spoken warnings.
Q. In order to use the PGPSW locations should I delete the TT files or simply disable the TT camera function in the menu? Also, can I use the voice warnings as on the GO300?
Appologies if this topic is covered elsewhere - I looked for a similar thread without success.

Best advice is to delete the TomTom cameras. For voice alerts see here.

It is best to delete the TT cameras (make sure you've done a full backup first in case you ever need to restore it to original status). Now I'm regretting not looking up first the place where it tells you how to do it Embarassed - somewhere in the Forum FAQs, see link at top left.

Yes, indeed, use the very same voice warnings as you did with your 300, setting them up in exactly the same way, put the ogg files in with the ov2 and bmp files, enable the cameras and set warning distances. You MAY be asked "Is this the sound you want to use?" If so, answer YES even though you won't hear the sound - if you answer NO it might get all confused and lock up.

Just goes to show I don't practise what I preach! - me and my never RTFM-ing. It's just that I keep seeing you lot telling people to read the FAQs so I think that's where they have to look. I suppose that's why you've got a map v710. Evil or Very Mad

Had a 710 Map for 10 days, (had to pay for it though) but it wasn't until today I could get MapShare. Laughing

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help.
Backed it up, downloaded the bmp's, OV2s and ogg's.
Works a treat.

Cheers.
