Tom Tom 2 maps with Tom Tom 3 ?

hmm

it works but not fully!

The icons in the nav menu are the new tomtom 3 icons whcih is fine with me however ther are no POI's at all being displayed (you cant even "find" them in the menu the menu item is missing). Clicking About reveals 2.24 version and the italy map is working good. No POI's though?

The other thing is each time you switch between apps it acts like its a new installation of tomtom.

Any ideas?

I don't think this is the right approach.

- TTN2 and TTN3 use the same portion of the registry. Pretty obvious that this gives problems, and makes it look like a new install every time you start the other program. You would need to have two branches in the registry that you would rename just before launching the appropriate TomTom

- look at the map files provided by TTN2 and TTN3. You will notice there are a few more files in the TTN3 version. Take special note of the PNA file.


If you really want to get TTN3 running with v2 maps then at the very least these extra files need to be recreated for each map set...
