Hi,

I've just got a Navman F10 and want to add the POIs and Speed Camera database. I have a Mac and so can't use the NavDesk software.

Can someone tell me the file structure that I need on the SD card to get the Navman to recognise the POIs. I've tried Navman/MyPOIs/ placing the files directly into the MyPOIs folder, but when I start up the Navman I can't see them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please don't Double Post. It doesn't help those who might try to assist you, and will also lead to confused, and confusing, answers.

It's also been less than 24 hours since your first Post. Be patient. Smile

I've removed the other.

You need to use the desktop software to install the POI files, it does more than just put the files in a specific place, do you only have a Mac? - no access to a PC at all? - Mike

Ive found this response in another forum - it refers to the iCN510 but should work on your Mac. If in doubt, give Navman a bell and ask them. I cannot believe that with the number of Mac users around that Navman software cannot work on Mac in some way or another...anyway try this,
"You will have no problem to use our data on your device despite that you have Mac with no option to run SmartST software. All what you need is to be able to browse your GPS Navman-iCN 520 device and and to copy files to mypoi directory on your Storage Card. You can use our McDonalds test data for your total confidence. Another option is to use software called Guest PC. It is another computer inside your Mac. That computer is an emulated x86 PC. You can install all Windows based software including Navman SmartST. In that case you just need to follow easy installation instructions from Navman POI data download zone".

Thanks Mike. I have just moved from TomTom where the OV2 files could just be put on the SD card in the right place and it all worked. I'm assuming from what you said that the program converts the CSV files into something Navman can read.

Sorry about the cross post. Posted in a general forum before realising there was a Navman specific one. Embarassed

Matthew.

If you got F10 (not F20, F30, F40 or F50) then the only speed cams you can put on it are Navman subscription cameras. F10 is made to be as cheap as possible and does not support Custom POIs.
