soft ware update killed my 720

hi there,
just dropped my 720 into the cradle to update it before i go on hols at weekend and its died, it has downloaded the latest application for the 720 and now all i get on the screen is a big red cross flashing, even after a restore and a couple of resets, when i reconnect it tothe comp it reinstalls the application but still no joy, any ideas?

I dont have good news for you.

Mine did this last Friday after using it all day then docking it to update it. No hints on Tomtom web site for this problem. Took it back to PC World and they took one look at it and said it was dead. (They actually said the hard disk had failed but I didnt have the heart to tell them it doesn't have a hard disk!!)

They swapped it for me on the spot. (Just as well as the dead one was my 4th 720 so I am now on my 5th)
