You should go 27 route, epecially if you use the spreadsheet or play videos on the PDA, you can then configure one of the front buttons to switch from portrait to landscape instamtanously without going back into any menus, by the way the upgrade is painless
A further little snippet from the brainbox, I understand that if your 150 serial no is r11 then it can be updated tp 2003se, if any other you will have to search for further info.
I've downloaded all the info on the link and, yes, I would like to take up your offer of help with the upgrade info, if it is isn't too much trouble.
Loathe to part with this Medion because it is fast and has performed beautifully to date and can't really see any reason to waste more money if I don't have to.
I've downloaded most of the utils listed on the link and some of the instructions as well, but if your instructions are more comprehensive, then yes please! Bear in mind that all this is new to me, but what the hell, I'll have a go.
If it all goes belly up, I'll just have to go out and buy a replacement for the trusty MDPPC150.
BTW, what is the difference between the 02 and the 22 versions of WM2003?
emailed tutorial, cannot see any reason whatsoever why it should go belly up, I found it very easy, but do read and follow instructions, in one case it looks as if nothing is happening, dont be tempted to touch anything else you have to redo again, I have had my mio168 over 2 yrs and running ttn6 and still happy with it, good sound, plays watchable videos in widescreen, MP3s etc, what more can you want, go for it, let us know how you go on.
i have TT6 on a Medion and the very 1st time i loaded it on it behaved in a very similar way to how you describe, in that it was so slow to move through the menus that i nearly gave up.
However, i decided to be patient and just wait for the next menu to come along and once set up it has been fine from then on.
I dont know why , maybe something in the medion firmware / win CE version , or the way the GPS part of it works ??
MDWWER22 is wm2003 first edition, and certainly does run ttn6 but without landscape mode, you need WWer27 which is wm2003se i.e second edition and brings back landscape mode in the OS which was removed in ttn6, wwer27 is slightly faster than 22, but hardlt noticable, the MDPPC150 is upgradeable and both files can be found here at http://home.scarlet.be/lataupe/ if you have any problems pm me i have have the file buried somewere and can send you tutorial on upgrading of you want if you cant find enough info there
Hi,
I am looking for an upgrade for my Medion MDPPC 150. Information shows that it runs WM2003, code MDWWER02F. I desperately try to find rom with WM2003SE for my model and even checked the link you mentioned but there only MDWWER22 is given. Is it a big difference from my MDWWER02F and worth upgrading? And do you have 'wwer27' for Medion (not Mio as stated on the website)?
Thank you in advance.
